Diane’s day at Drouin

DIANE Basket had a good day at Drouin Golf Club on Saturday, 4 November, winning the Stableford competition with an excellent 41 points.
Thursday, 9 November saw a smaller than usual field playing Stableford in superb weather.
The day was sponsored by Guardian Pharmacy, Drouin.
Winners:
Agrade: Diane Baskett (handicap 26) 46 points. Runnerup: Shirley Todd (15) 37 points.
Bgrade: Val Johnson (40) 39 points. Runnerup: Mildred Lyon 37 points.
Downtheline balls: Margaret Purcell and Jill Brenchley.
Nearest the pins 14th: hole Ellyn Thomson, 19th: Jill Brenchley.
Diane Baskett has broken her handicap from 27 to 23 in the past week and Val Johnson also broke from 40 to 38.

This Tuesday will be stroke and the star medal playoff sponsored by Jill Greenland.
Saturday, 18 November is the Warragul/Drouin ladies challenge match at Drouin starting at 11 a.m. Members are asked to book prior to the event.
Next week will be the qualifying round for the John Isles Transport Pty Ltd sponsored summer matchplay championship.
Sixteen players will qualify for matchplay over the summer months.
On this day will also be the inaugural trophy for nontrophy winners during the season, sponsored by Diane Baskett.
Poss Leeson and Glenda Warren were congratulated on winning the ladies competition held by Drouin Lions Club on Cup Day.
