EMERALD Agrade bats tumbled against Catani in their chase of a gettable 193 on Saturday.
Resuming at 1/15 Cam Williams and Brodie Lucas got the Bombers off to a positive start with some classy shots by Williams before he was bowled in the eighth over with the score on 42.
From there the Bombers lost there momentum as a steady fall of wickets followed.
On a quick ground where the run rate was always above four, only Quenten Lucas looked at ease in the middle order.
After he was the sixth out after an unfortunate runout, the Bombers still needed the best part of 100 runs to win.
A short time later the Bombers were 9/111 and Tim Sproule and Rod Smith batted well for the last partnership to take the score to 149, but it wasn’t enough.
Sproule ended on 25 not out, while the best batted was Lucas with a classy 37.

Emerald went in to this week’s clash against Nar Nar GoonMaryknoll chasing 248 for victory.
Resuming at 1/24 the Alenson bothers, David and Donald, got Emerald off to a good start lasting for about an hour before David was out.
Donald Alenson was batting well in the tough conditions and found good support from Lucas McGann, Keiran Thoms and Euan Thoms as the Bombers did well to bat out 62 overs.
Star for Emerald was Donald Alenson who managed to carry his bat through most of the overs in the hot conditions to post 46 not out.
The Bombers were bowled out for 144.

Chasing the 219 set by Nar Nar Goon last week, the Bombers found themselves in early trouble when they fell to 4/36.
Then Kade Ely and Andrew Morris came together and the pair batted well to take the score to 93 before Ely was out for 23 and soon after that Morris was out for 38.
The score fell to 8/119 and Dan Carlton and Andrew Rolfs put together a good 40run stand, but the Bombers fell short after being bowled out for 164.
Rolfs ended on 37 notout.

Emerald played Officer and was in a good position after making 281 last week.
Officer resumed at 1/22 and Callum Thoms got the Bombers’ first for the day then fellow juniors Tim Robinson and Tristan Fraser also got wickets to have Officer 5/83.
The Bombers then had to toil in the heat for 20 overs before the next wicket fell.
Jim Burke came on and got three quick wickets to finish off the game for the Bombers.
The best bowler was James Burke, who finished with 5/28 off 12 overs.

The oneday team played archrivals Gembrook and batted first.
Matt Livermore opened up the batting and got Emerald off to an excellent start as he retired on 51.
Nick Jansen (23), Greg Doherty (14) and Dave Barlow (15) also provided support as the Bombers made 166 off their overs.
In reply the Bombers always had the game in the bag and bowled Gembrook out for 92.
Owen Thorne and Kevin Stapleton opened the bowling and each picked up two wickets. Gary Santini with 3/21 and Dave Barlow with 2/17 also bowled well.
@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 17 BLACK
The Blacks played Beaconsfield Bandits and were chasing 152.
Zeb Quigley got Emerald off to a good start with 21, but then found itself in trouble at 3/36.
Euan Thoms and Ali Semaiha then got together for a 90run stand before the latter retired on 50.
Thoms was out soon after for 31, but the Bombers managed to hold their nerve to pass the score eight wickets down.
Semaiha came back in and ended on 68 notout.
@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 17 RED
Emerald played Beacy Tigers and last week restricted them to 92.
This week the Bombers never looked in trouble as they posted their first win of the season by making 160.
Matt Livermore batted well opening and made 38 and was well supported by Dylan Sweeney with 22, Jack Allisey and Tim Robinson, who both made 15.

Emerald played Nar Nar GoonMaryknoll and last week batted well to make 153.
This week the Blacks restricted them to 8/104 to win by 49 runs.
Tom Baldock again did a good job opening the bowling to collect 2/11. Chris Wynne also bowled well to take 214 off his six overs.

Emerald last week batted 39 overs to make 85 and this week just went down as Pakenham made 121.
Paul White did an excellent job opening the bowling with 3/5, while Jarryd Donders also bowled well to get 3/13.

The Redbacks last week made the good score of 106 and this week managed to win a close game by 18 runs.
Cam Williams took 3/10 off five overs and was well assisted by Darcy Hellrigal and Nathan Copy who each took two wickets.
