THE City of Casey has spread its Australia Day celebrations throughout the municipality.
Events include a range of familyfriendly activities with multicultural celebrations at Doveton Pool in the park at the corner of Tristania Street and Kidds Road, Doveton, from 11am to 4pm.
Admission is a gold coin donation.
This event is a multicultural celebration with a pool carnival, jumping castle, live multicultural performances, family picnic and activities for all ages.
The event will also have a health focus through various sports demonstrations such as basketball, cricket, water exercises and tai chi.
Food stalls will include vegetarian foods, fresh fruits and healthy snacks.
Australia Day in Hampton Park will involve a free barbecue at the Arthur Wren Hall and grounds, Stuart Avenue, Hampton Park, from noon to 3.30pm.
Residents are invited to enjoy a barbecue lunch with live stage performances, a jumping castle and amusements for the kids.
Celebrations will also be held at Ray Perry Park, corner Clarendon Street and High Street, Cranbourne, from noon to 4pm. Admission is free.
Take the family for a fun afternoon with highlights including a variety of live music acts and an Australia Day ceremony.
There will also be information stalls from local community groups.
The coastal villages will have a free twilight cinema at Sawtells Inlet, Tooradin, from 7pm to 11pm with screening of the movie Herbie: Fully Loaded.
Entertainment prior to the film will include free face painting, singers and dancers, a martial arts display and the lowering of the Australian flag.
