Fielding fantastic for Pakenham

PAKENHAM’S under 17s played Beaconsfield and after losing the toss were sent out to field.
An excellent performance by the bowlers restricted Beaconsfield to 44 runs. The fielding was excellent, with no dropped catches.
Pakenham went in to bat with Beau Mason and Tim Holt retiring on 25 bringing captain Chris Chilcott to the crease who also retired on 25.
Pakenham batted its 25 overs out ending on 6/107 for a good win.
The Bams cricket ball went to Tim Holt for a superb batting and bowling performance.

After losing the toss and being sent into bat, with no big partnerships Pakenham got to 7/94 off 40 overs.
Brodie Selby (20 not out), Daniel Doyle (16 not out) and Damien Dykes (5).
Officer came out with some big hitting, but Pakenham kept its cool and bowled well to dismiss it for 71.
Best of the bowlers were Luke Jackson (2/10), Cory Davis (1/6), Jarryd Davies (1/3) and Brodie Selby (1/4).

Playing Tooradin away, Pakenham lost the toss and was asked to bat.
Zane McMillan and Steven Dillon opened and looked good until the former was run out for nine.
Dillon retired on 16 not out and Pakenham ended its innings 3/73.
Tooradin then batted and ended their innings 3/72, one run short.
Tooradin was thanked for providing substitute fielders as Pakenham only had six players.

Pakenham played Devon Meadows at Junction Village, won the toss and bowled.
Devon Meadows scored 1/95 and Pakenham Blue won, scoring 5/96.
Jarryd Davies was 15 not out, Gavin Alday 15, Jordan Muley and Ben Harder both made 14.

Pakenham played Pakenham Upper at Symes Road reserve.
Pakenham won the toss and the captain of the week Jai Rout decided to bat.
All players batted well totalling 59 runs off 20 overs and only three batsmen went out.
Pakenham then kept Pakenham Upper to only 29 runs.
Koby Virgona won the Bams ball and Matt Nagel won the Brumby’s award.
