Flowers to help life bloom

THOUSANDS of beautiful roses blooming at Nar Nar Goon were given a rare public airing over Easter.
The 20hectare farm run by Lloyd and Mia Rankin has been transformed over five years from an old cow paddock into rose paradise.
Visitors to the farm were treated to seemingly endless avenues of fragrant blooms.
The rose fields were open as part of Australia’s Open Garden Scheme.
Proceeds from the weekend went towards Cystic Fibrosis Victoria.
Rose lovers were treated to talks from Mr Rankin and farm manager Andrew Simpson as well as Arnaud Delbard of Delbard Roses France.
Rankin’s Roses has grown seven roses to form the cystic fibrosis rose collection and proceeds from each rose sold will help people living with the lifeshortening disease.
