JUNIOR football players from Longwarry and Beaconsfield benefited by new equipment supplied by their clubs’ association with the Toyota Good for Footy.
More than $200,000 has been allocated to clubs around Australia.
Longwarry allocated a large percentage of its sponsorship to the development of juniors and bought new ruck bags, footballs and an exercise bike. The club also videoed every second game and an overhead projector screen was purchased.
“In a small country town like Longwarry, a program like Toyota Good for Footy is the lifeblood of a grassroots footy club,” club president Annmarie Van Der Heyden said.
The Beaconsfield Junior Football Club bought new equipment including rebound nets, tackle bags, marking bags and footballs.
