Goon runs all over Bunyip

NAR Nar Goon welcomed Bunyip and all grades other than C grade recorded wins for the day and strengthened their position on the ladder for the final series.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:A GRADE

The Goon pout in a fine team effort with great passages of play down the court. Many strong intercepts from Sam Hodge and a great game from Linsey Boddy made her best on court. Sam Cox was fast and furious around and in the ring, goalingwell.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:B GRADE

The Goon had a good win against a strong Bunyip team. After trailing in the first quarter by two goals the Goon came back strongly in the second quarter to be five goals in front at halftime and maintained this lead for the remainder of a tough game. Rebecca Murphy moved particularly well, creating space in goals and the defenders did well, especially Mirae Payroli and Chantelle Joosten from the under 17s and Prue Evans at centre played a great game. The team wished injured players Mirae Payroli and Cassie McMillan a speedy recovery.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:C GRADE

The Goon came up against thirdplaced Bunyip and did an excellent job, defending every pass down the court, resulting in many turnovers. Bianca Lowen switched ends to defence and played a terrific game. Meaghan Douglas filled in in goals, doing a great job. Deanna Gallasch showing great versatility, playing at wing defence, centre and goal shooter.
Scores: Bunyip 34 d Nar Nar Goon 23.
Best: Deanna Gallasch.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:17 AND UNDER

After a bad start, allowing Bunyip a threegoal lead in the first quarter, the Goon steadied and with positional changes at each end played a much improved game. Shae Harrop was goaling well and Chantelle Joosten took countless intercepts and important rebounds, allowing the Goon to outscore Bunyip for each quarter for the rest of the game. The Goon had a fine last quarter and built in a fivegoal lead on Bunyip to seal the win.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:15 AND UNDER

With a full squad in the Goon used many different combinations. The Goon dominated in every quarter with superb defensive play being the highlight of a well deserved win.
Scores: Narr Nar Goon 31 d Bunyip 12.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:13 AND UNDER

The game started goalforgoal and both teams were competitive, Bunyip taking the quartertime lead. The Goon, determined to win, fought hard and dominated the second quarter to take a sixgoal lead. In the third quarter the team extended its lead with excellent ring work from Ruby Riley and Claire Templeton. In the last quarter Brittney Stocco showed great strength and determination, intercepting and making positive turnovers for the Goon.
Scores: Nar Nar Goon 29 d Bunyip 12.
Awards: Best Ruby Riley, Most determined Brittney Stocco.
