Housing for the over55s

By Jim Mynard
HOUSING options for people 55 and over will be discussed at a City of Casey free Housing is a Health Issue Forum to be held in the Doveton Neighbourhood Learning Centre from 9.45am to 1pm on Thursday 5 April.
Casey manager of community development Janette Green said discussions needed to continue with residents nearing retirement age and beyond to ensure that people were aware of the support services available.
Living in the community and access to information about housing and support services are key themes of Casey’s Ageing Positively in Casey Plan 20052010.
The forum will include presentations by housing for the Aged Action Group, the Office of Housing and City of Casey Community Care and Health Promotion, as well information stalls and advice from a range of service providers.
To register, contact Lisa Wayne or Rhonda Birthisel from Doveton Neighbourhood Learning Centre on 9791 4760.
