Ladies tee off for awards

IT was awards galore when Garfield Golf Club ladies held their presentation day on Tuesday, 8 November.
This year’s theme was ‘school-days’ dress, a chance for the members to let down their hair and celebrate a good year of golf and have some fun.
Lunch was provided by Garfield Primary School parents and friends group.

AWARD WINNERS

Captain’s knockout – match play.
The final was played Friday, 4 November between Leesa Matthews and Phyl Warne. Winner: Leesa Matthews.
Most consistent: Sharon Carmondy.
Best card 2005: June Hunter.
Most reduction in handicap: three-way tie: Sue King, Sharon Carmondy, Lyn Vears.
A grade Eclectic 0-29: Leesa Matthews.
B grade Eclectic 30-36: Sharon Carmondy.
C grade Eclectic 37-45: Liz Harrison.
Most birdies: Kathy Garratt.
Most gobblers: June Hunter and Yvonne March.
Saturday ladies most consistent: Virginia Brooks.
Medal winner: Sue King.
