PLAYERS at the Bunyip Football Club will be able to train and play better at night thanks to a grant for improved lighting.
State Western Port Province MP Geoff Hilton last week announced the club would receive a $48,000 grant as part of the Country Football and Netball Program, a joint Victorian Government and AFL initiative.
“This is a fantastic acknowledgment of the great work the Bunyip Football Club has been doing to provide opportunities for people to get together, get active, volunteer and have fun,” Mr Hilton said.
“These grants are an investment in our future sporting champions, as well as improving sports facilities for everyone in regional areas to enjoy.”
The Bunyip Football Club is using its grant to upgrade lighting to allow more evening training sessions.
