REBECCA Cartwright will be making an appearance at Thursday afternoon’s Warragul trots.
It’s not the well known soap star, however, but a harness trainerdriver who shares her name. Cartwright trains and drives Miss Superb, a starter in the first race.
Originally from New South Wales, Cartwright has been based in Victoria for a couple of years but this will be her first trip to Warragul.
Thursday’s card is an excellent one, with capacity fields in many events, which has pleased club officials. The trotters’ race in particular has drawn a strong field and class local horses Blue Rock, Georgian Gold and Hot Trottin’ Rebel are set to compete.
Hot Trottin’ Rebel is also down to run in the $50,000 Vicbred Super Series Final for trotters at Moonee Valley on Friday night, along with fellow Gippsland horse Pepperell Dancer.
A stablemate of Hot Trottin’ Rebel, Country Occasion, will run in the $100,000 twoyearold colts and geldings Vicbred Super Series Final on Friday night.
