Nine cars damaged in attack rampage

A ONEhour crime rampage in Pakenham last Saturday damaged nine cars.
Police said the frenzy started at 4am at Pakenham railway station, where three cars were broken into and another vehicle set alight.
Tools were then stolen from a car parked at the Railway Hotel in Pakenham before the attackers moved on to the Coles supermarket car park and wreaked havoc on two more cars. One was broken into and the other’s tyres were slashed.
A Toyota fourwheeldrive parked at the Pakenham Inn was then torched, causing $20,000 damage.
The attackers rounded off by smashing several windows of a car parked at Pakenham McDonald’s about 5am.
Pakenham Police were treating all the incidents as linked and have asked anyone with information to contact them on 5941 1033.
