Nyora attack on target

NYORA’S Bgrade team faces a moderate run chase of 87 runs this weekend, after a good bowling and fielding performance against Beaconsfield on Saturday.
Good bowling performances came from Nick Fairbank (15 overs six maidens 3/15), Andrew Collis (6.2 overs three maidens 2/6) and Matt Hendry (12 overs two maidens 2/35) and well backed up by Kelvin Toogood and Adam Tagliaferro.
Beaconsfield was all out for 126.
Nyora then faced 10 overs, making 39 without loss.

Nyora visited Tooradin and although losing the toss and bowling the day was a winner.
R. Gilliate took the new ball and a wicket with the very first delivery of the day.
Everyone fielded well, held catches and backed each other up and Tooradin was bowled out for 108.
Nyora then went in to bat and passed the score, one wicket down.

Nyora won the toss against Officer and bowled first.
Best of the bowlers were N. Carrell (3/19), Lee Cleary (2/11) and D. Kerrison (1/6).
Best of the batsmen for Officer was J. Nicholson (21).
Officer was all out for 92.
Nyora then took to the crease and started shakingly loosing the first wicket in the fifth over, but picked up with D Kerrison making 30 and L. Jose 24.
Nyora made 8/110 and has now won two games in a row.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 17

Nyora bowled, but struggled to take wickets, only taking one in the innings.
Merinda Park had four batsmen compulsorily retire.
M. Theodoris (50), J. LaughinGlen (50), M. Grayson (51) and N. Beaver (52).
Billy Hayes (0/25 off seven) and Luke Tagliaferro (0/29 off eight) were the best bowlers.
Merinda Park at stumps was 1/243.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 13

Good bowling by Pakenham Blue made scoring difficult for Nyora and the wickets tumbled.
Jade Ellams found form and was a solid rock in defence against a formidable side, eventually being the last batsmen out with a top score of 14.
Jay Breen with four was the next best.
Nyora finished on 39.
For Pakenham N. Verleg (2/6), J. Pavies (1/0 off five overs) showed how tough batting was.
Nyora had to bowl seven overs and Pakenham finished with 11 runs.
