OFFICER A-grade side will be protecting 157 against top side Beaconsfield next Saturday after a solid day with the bat.
Officer was 1/45 due to good batting from Clint Williams (22) and Steve McIntyre (17).
Ben Tivendale fell narrowly short of his 50, compiling 47 with four boundaries.
He shared a 48-run stand for the fifth wicket with Peter Quinn who made 25.
Brett Reid batted aggressively for 33 with three fours and a six.
Officer put on 33 for the 11th wicket in a valuable partnership with Rod Zlonzak finishing on 7 not out.
Officer’s 181 was scored off 67 overs.
Beaconsfield was 0/24 at stumps with Rhys Nisbet 0/6 off five overs and Ben Tivendale 0/16 off five being the only bowlers used so far.

C GRADE

Officer lost the toss and fielded.
Tight bowling and good fielding in slips saw Officer well placed at stumps with Lyndhurst Vikings dismissed for 134.
James Quinn took two good catches and bowled accurately for 0/16 from 12 overs.
Jason Hester took 2/10 from five overs with two good balls producing wickets.
Bryan Kearney took 2/25 off six overs, Brent Pullen had 2/5 off seven accurate overs with four maidens and took two catches in slips.
Chris Savage bowled an excellent spell of leg spinners, taking two wickets in one over and finished with 3/38.
Paul Simon 1/19 off 11 overs and Simon Armstrong 1/17 off six overs were the other wicket takers with all bowlers taking a wicket.
Officer was 0/2 at stumps.

E GRADE

Officer played Gembrook and was all out for 157.
Graeme Cooper hit a well-made 55 including a huge six into the scorers’ shed.
Greg Tivendale made 13 including a six, Allan Reid made 17, Richard Adams did well in his first game back after his marriage and Chris Dorman added a good partnership of 37 with Graeme Cooper after tea.
Other contributions were Wayne Banks 13 and Tom Bulenok four.
Gembrook was 1/141 at stumps with Gavin Boon the successful bowler with 1/25.

F GRADE

Officer played Lyndhurst Vikings, on top of the ladder and was 5/14, chasing 112.
The team was in trouble at 5/14.

UNDER 16

Officer struggled against a strong Beaconsfield team.
Officer batted first and made 18 all out with Aaron Creek four and Stephen Van Boxtel four.
Beaconsfield finished at 0/95 from 21 overs with Matt Cooper 0/9 off four overs bowling tightly.

UNDER 14

Pakenham Upper-Toomuc made 6/167 against Officer.
Wickets went to Mick Martin 1/19 off four overs, Ben Martin 1/19 off four overs and Michael Riccardo 1/17 off four overs.
Robert Larson 1/23 off four overs and Tom Marks 1/21 off four overs were the other wicket takers.
Officer will play in two 20/20 games starting at Lang Lang at 11am followed by the main game.
