PUT gets the blues

PAKENHAM UpperToomuc (PUT’s) Agrade team was overrun by Catani for an outright win on Saturday.
The Blues made an impressive firstinnings total of 219.
On Saturday PUT could only make 94 and began its second innings 125 runs in arrears.
Opener Justin Harris played attacking shots to register 57 and Darren Warne chipped in with 31.
Zac Clough showed some resistance to make 27, but the innings petered out for 152, leaving the Blues the simple task of getting 28 runs for the outright win.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:B GRADE

The Yabbies could not defend a modest total of 158 against a strong CranbourneMeadows side that racked up 8/321.
Damian Garth stepped up from Dgrade and took 3/56 from 22 overs, while John Barrow bowled economically.
@BT Sub Sport Gaz:D GRADE

Nyora chased PUT’s 253, but succumbed to some good bowling as Brett Maddock (4/12) and Adrian Grey (4/34) ran through the order.
The visitors were all out for 90.
The Yabbies had a second knock and hit 4/121, with Tim Owens (49), Maddock (27) and Luke Gunton (21) the major scorers.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:E GRADE

Requiring 16 to win with four wickets in hand, the Yabbies played well to notch a total of 195.
Corey Arthur top scored with 64 and was well supported by Drew Clarke (25) and Tyson Carey (31).
The Panthers had another bat and were all out for 109. Ben Clough (3/30) notched up a delayed hattrick with his first delivery and Tyson Carey (3/24) and Bob Phillips (3/21) also bowled well, but the Yabbies ran out of overs in a bid for outright points.
@BT Sub Sport Gaz: F GRADE

The Yabbies played Kooweerup at Ahern Rd and bowled out the Demons for 201.
Jackson Fromhold took the gloves off at drinks and snared 2/16 off six and Nick Braham collected 2/24.
In reply PUT batted well and pushed to the last over, but fell just 10 runs short.
Fromhold completed a fine match, retiring on 50, Brett Dutton made 46 and Matt Dixon 28.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 17

The Yabbies were made to work hard in defending 245 runs against Emerald Red.
Wickets were shared around with Nick Kyval (2/8) as the Bombers were bowled out for 174.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 15

The Golds had to chase down the Yabbies’ 75 runs, but no batsman could get a start.
The Yabbies rolled the Golds for just 26.
Mitchell Price took 3/2 from six excellent overs and Jordan Pearse (3/8) and Jamie Somers (3/12) snuffed out the Gold efforts.
In a second knock, the Golds showed more fight making 6/76, Tom Black retiring on 30, while James Arnold took 3/2.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 11 GOLD

Gold took on Beaconsfield at Syme Road, Pakenham and played a great game.
Once again there was some great fielding, Dean Jackson, Esther Bardwell and Callum Arger all backed up well, giving great support to the team as did Grant Papworth and Kimmy Bardwell on the boundary.
Top scorers were Mitch Sayburn (7), Mitch Lewis (4) and Thomas Wilmott (4).
Excellent bowling by Thomas Wilmott 3/0.
