DANDENONG Valley Special School students have spent two months taking lessons at the Berwick Bowling Club.
They have been having great fun with coaches, teachers and support staff on the club’s synthetic green learning to bowl.
Each Friday morning during the program the students arrived and moved straight to the green to send down lots of bowls.
After this exercise they retired to the clubhouse for a cup of tea and a muffin or cake.
Casey disability leisure officer Barbara Sheppard organised the lessons through the Access for All Abilities program, funded by Sport and Recreation Victoria.
Berwick Bowling Club board member Reg Rowswell said club members received just as much enjoyment out of the program as the students.
