Talent spreads at festival

THE 18th annual Bunyip Country Music Festival will bring together a host of great artists providing top class entertainment this Sunday, 25 February.
The event is already renowned for its musical quality and unbeatable value and this year organisers have pulled out all stops to ensure country music fans will be delighted by another quality program of entertainers.
The 2007 Tamworth Starmaker winner KirstyLee Akers headlines the card with her Bunyip debut.
Amos Morris, who proved such a hit in 2006, returns this year as proven performer despite still being in his teens.
Established performers appearing include Grant Luhrs, Owen Blundell, Reg Poole and Brian Letton.
Also returning this year are outstanding duo Camille Te Nahu and Stuart French.
Talented artists Sharnee Fenwick and top band The Baileys are also featuring at Bunyip for the first time.
The festival starts early with a walkup poets’ breakfast at 8am followed by the Bendigo Bank Young Talent Showcase on the main stage.
This year’s showcase features Jennifer Lloyd, Nicholas Laing, Kristy Cox and Megan Puls.
The main part of the festival kicks in around noon and continues through to 6pm.
This makes for a great day’s family entertainment for only $20 for adults with under 14s free.
Things that make the Bunyip Country Music Festival family friendly include the fact that visitors only need to bring a chair, hat and sunscreen because there are plenty of other attractions.
Food and beverages are plentiful both in quantity and choice and there are always a good number of market stalls and amusements for the kids.
Performers’ merchandise is well catered for and the performers are always ready to sign autographs.
