MERINDA Park’s Agrade team failed to contain Officer’s bats from overhauling its first innings total of 154 on Saturday.
The Cobras had the Bullants in trouble at 2/24 when play resumed at Donnelly Reserve, however the Cobras could not go on with it and lost the game after Officer was all out for 262.
Young Cobra fast bowler Jess Mathers continued his fine form from the previous week and finished with the figures of 5/60 from 23 overs, while Shannon Mathers picked up 2/62 from 16.4 overs and Anthony Burr with 2/56 from 11 overs.

The Cobras fought out their match against Pakenham defending only 136.
They bowled Pakenham out for 208 with Tony Clarke again the best of the bowlers with 2/25 from 11 overs.
Gareth Duff also bowled well with 2/7 from four overs and opening bowler Michael Theodoridis with 2/32 from 15 overs.
Other wicket takers were Nick Reed, Andrew Martin and Scott Kunziak with one each.

There were some outstanding individual performances by the Cobras against Beaconsfield in their win by 266 runs.
Darren Smith (64), Mark Beecham (63) and Mark DiPilla (61), while 12yearold Jason Pongracic scored 56 before retiring hurt after rolling his ankle.
The Cobras finished on 9/393.

In a hard fought struggle against Emerald, the Cobras fell short by 36 runs making 195.
Seven batsmen got starts, but none went on with it.

In a losing side, under15 player Stuart Martin was the Cobra player of the match with 2/33 from six overs, making 13 and being involved in a runout.
Catani made 7/177 with Trevor Lewtas the best of the bowlers with 3/15 from six overs.
Robert Clarke picked up 1/30 from six overs.
Batting, the Cobras only made 76 with only two players, Stuart Martin and Gerard Healy with 20 getting into double figures.
Another junior player, Matt Hughes tried hard in making eight.

Chasing Lang Lang’s 6/146, the Cobras played well making 4/184 with Marcus Beaver making 51 retired, Captain Michael Theodoridis 51 retired and Paul Boland with 23 notout.

Playing the Beaconsfield Tigers, the Cobras won a close one after Beaconsfield was all out for 146. The Cobras made 7/153.
Stuart Martin was impressive with 4/16 from six overs with Beau Langhans, Glen Salter and Dylan Compt picking up a wicket each.
Batting, the Cobras had a middleorder collapse with four ducks.
However, opener Anthony Burr made 31 notout, Daniel McCalman, 30 retired, Les Howell, 30 retired and Glen Salter with 28 got the Cobras over the line.

The Cobras had a big win over Cardinia in what could be a record score for a Cobra junior team.
Chasing 65, the Cobras amassed 7/307.
Jason Pongracic made 82 notout that included eleven fours and one six from only 56 balls.
Simon Spencer made 57 notout that included nine fours from only 40 balls faced.
Sakila Tennakoon made 27 retired and Les Howell 25 retired.
The Cobras faced just 51 overs at a run rate of just over six per over.

Playing Devon Meadows Red, the Cobras made 16 and 37 with Devon Meadows making 56 and 58.
Blake Glassborow, Caleb Boswell and Brady Boswell all hit fours with catches to Caleb Boswell taking three, James Jordan and Kyle Salter with one each.
Kyle Salter picked up a runout with Caleb Boswell making a direct hit runout while wicketkeeping.
On week one, the wickettakers were Blake Glassborow, Dinelka Balasuriya, Ramith Satharasinghe, Ben Dalton all with one wicket each, Kyle Salter with a caught and bowled and a hitwicket and James Jordan with three in one over including two wickets in a row.
The second week wickettakers were Ashleigh Little, Dinelka Balasuriya, Ramith Satharasinghe, Lachlan Dalton and Brady Boswell all with one wicket each and Kyle Salter with two wickets.
