Police plea to slow teens

A TEEN motorist caught speeding twice on the same day has prompted police to urge motorists to slow down on local roads.
The 18yearold Tynong man was clocked doing 128 kilometres an hour while driving along the Princes Highway at Mt Ararat on Wednesday, 14 February.
Just 20 minutes later, police again intercepted the teenager, this time doing 118 kilometres an hour in Nine Mile Road, Tynong.
Police said the man had also been picked up at Caldermeade less than a fortnight ago, doing 130kmh along the South Gippsland Highway.
Cardinia TMU acting Sergeant Col Davies said such behaviour was of great concern to police.
“We urge drivers to slow down.”
