BERWICK Bowling Club’s ladies sides ended 2006 with three wins out of four in their final preChristmas Victorian Ladies’ Bowls Association (VLBA)pennant matches.
The 12th round of the VLBA pennant draw produced the following results:
Berwick (1) 103 defeated Keysborough (1) 65 away. Skips K. Macqueen 2418, L. Bennett 2217, B. Townley 2619, B. Edwards 3111. Berwick 103 shots to Keysborough 65.
Berwick (2) 83 lost to Keysborough (2) 89 at home.
Skips A. Steere 1822, I. Fewster 1929, J.Copplestone 2215, E. Kershaw 2423.
Berwick (3) 102 defeated Narre Warren 93 away.
Skips J. Whiteside 2930, J. Burns 2921, B. Brown 2320, V. Fisher 2122.
Berwick (4) 117 defeated Noble Park 74 at home.
Skips K. Beevors 2818, F.Hall 3215, L. Hansen 2921, V. Pickering 2820.
The winning rink of the week, making it two weeks in succession, was the combination of B. Edwards (skip), J. Jans (third), J. Reddy (second) and P. Thompson (lead).
