MOTORISTS had to contend with an alltoorare hazard last Thursday with heavy rains causing minor flooding on some local roads.
The 1820 millimetres of rain that fell in several centres around the district was almost more than the entire rainfall recorded during October.
Unfortunately for longsuffering farmers, the drought is by no means broken. Indeed, last week’s rain, as welcome as it was, barely settled the dust.
Meanwhile, Tynong had the distinction of having the state’s top temperature on Sunday, with the mercury reaching 29 degrees.
Water! What’s that?
