Pair runs hot in cold

LEON Cook and Steven Bethune made light of the cold, wet conditions to win the foursomes championships at Drouin Golf Club on Saturday.

They won both the handicap and scratch events with a fine score of 82 gross 8.5 73 1/2 nett.
Fatherandson combination John and Wayne Robbins also teamed well to come in as runnersup with 74 nett.
There was also an overflow Par event on Saturday.
Peter Blackwell (handicap 12) took a liking to the wet conditions coming in with the summerlike score of +6. This was a sixshot winning margin from the runnerup Greg Butler who finished square.
