A TEENAGE girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries after her car hit a tree at Nar Nar Goon North on Friday.
The motorist, 18, was travelling along Yarrabubba Road when her car ran off the road and into bushland.
Rescue workers cut the girl from the wreckage of the car and she was taken to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition, police said.
Last Thursday, a 20yearold woman was taken to Dandenong hospital with minor injuries after her car ran off Pound Road and hit an embankment in Cardinia.
Police urged motorists, particularly young drivers, to be very careful driving along rural roads.
