ROUND 11 presented a challenge to GembrookCockatoo but the under15 and under14 sides came away with wins in Yarra Valley junior competition last week.

UNDER 14

Gembrook played at Woori Yallock and on a windy day did well, keeping Woori Yallock scoreless the whole game. Adan Moody kicked his first goal for the under 14s.

The Brookers started to put together good passages of play at Belgrave and came away with the four points. Aleesha Brindley did well to score her first goal of the year.

Against talented opposition Gembrook fought hard all game but, despite several good chances to lead, the Brookers couldn’t get home.

In a scrappy game after a good start, Gembrook fell into old habits of not holding positions and the opposition ran away with the game.
