THE senior Emerald side was still struggling to field a competitive side due to the plague of injuries. Again Emerald ran out completely undermanned, Alexandra quickly took advantage of the situation and scored freely throughout. The Emerald players tried their hardest and managed to kick three goals for the game, however they were no match for a strong Alexandra side.

Another undermanned Emerald side took the field against Alexandra. Alexandra led from the beginning of the first quarter, but a determined Emerald stayed within reach until halftime.
In the second half Alexandra cut loose and posted a number of goals, to which Emerald had no answers. Emerald thanked the under18 players for helping out and making up numbers.

UNDER 18

Emerald played team football and met and surprised Alexandra, a team above Emerald on the ladder. In moist conditions Emerald took control from the first bounce and managed to kick five goals whiled keeping Alexandra scoreless in the first quarter.
The second quarter was more evenly contested, the sides managing two goals apiece.
In the third and fourth quarters Emerald again dominated, posting three goals per quarter to Alexandra’s one per quarter.
The Emerald players continued their fighting spirit from the week before and ran out convincing winners.
