Artistic appeal

ARTISTS have been invited to take advantage of the Berwick Show art section to promote their work.
Berwick Artists Society show coordinator Gerry Sweeting has called on artists to be involved in the show.
Mr Sweeting said in the society’s May newsletter that after a small number of entries for the section last year he was eager to pursue a better response.
Show secretary Fran Barratt was also keen to expand the section and had placed entry forms in the show program.
Mr Sweeting has invited artists to begin thinking about next year’s show, to be held late February.
Contact the society through the secretary Robert Pritchard, phone 9796 1216.“We had entries from society members and 20 other exhibitors to make a nice display.
“We were given a large peg board wall to hang the exhibition and the presentation was appealing.
“This led to numerous inquiries about our artists society and one person has already joined.
“I was pleased that six of our members won ribbons.”
