Battles await Nyora after mixed results

NYORA’s fortunes were mixed last week after Cardinia set a good total to chase in B grade, but in D grade Nyora grabbed a narrow first-innings victory in a low-scoring match.

Nyora had five successful bowlers and Tagliaferro, Nick Fairbank, Matthew Hendry, Brian Knight and Cornelius Samual finished the day with wickets.

Dean Russell and Peter Jensen finished the day with one wicket each. Nyora batted and did not perform much better than Cranbourne Meadows. Robbie King top-scored with 12 and Nyora was bowled out for 59, taking first-innings points.
