Berwick bounced by Roos in final

SACRE Coeur Kangaroos made it three premierships in succession at Casey Fields on Saturday, showing greater determination than their Berwick opponents to win the 2006 Footy Pak Cup.
Berwick went into the match as minor premier having defeated the Kangaroos twice in the regular season, but the players never really got into their stride in the difficult, windy conditions.
Berwick wasted many opportunities in the forward line and missed regular full forward Courtney Clarkson and captain Alisha Jessup.
The club congratulated Mariah Marshall for winning the league best and fairest for the second successive season, and also for winning the leading goalkicker with 34 goals.
Teagan Cooper was named best club person.
Coach Hugh Marshall and his assistant Norm Jessup announced they would continue next season, much to the delight of the playing group as they strive for the ultimate prize.
Score: Sacre Coeur Kangaroos 3.2.20 d Berwick Wickers 0.6.6.
