Butchers hook into birthday

THERE is nothing rare about the quality service and products that Brookmere Meats has been dishing up to customers for more than a decade.
And tomorrow (Thursday) the Berwick institution will celebrate its 15th year of operation in grand style.
Many local residents, as well as those not so close to the family owned butcher’s shop, have been heading to Brookmere Meats for their Tbones, eyefillets and chops for years and for good reason.
Owner Rino Travaglini said: “Service, quality and price have been our keys.”
The Enterprise Avenue shop will have a range of special prices on the day to celebrate. 15 successful years of operation.
“There will be a big sale with lots of discounts on a lot of our meat,” he said.
Mr Travaglini plans to keep slicing up the meat for a few more years until his son takes over the business.
“I’m planning to be here until Bruno takes over so I think I will be stepping back slowly,” he said.

his business has stuck to three basic values over the 15 years that have ensured the continued success of the company.
