DROUGHT is keeping Cardinia Shire staff busy protecting parks and gardens.
Councillors were told at their 19 February meeting that the Big Dry continued to have a major impact on plant growth and maintenance operations.
Parks and gardens staff were still hand watering juvenile street trees, the council’s latest quarterly report said.
The report said the number of trees dying on rural road reserves also continued to rise.
