Path to satisfaction

IT IS easy to criticise a council.
The present Cardinia Shire Council has an enormous job ahead. It must balance the requirements to move forward with all the necessary infrastructure to be put in place, as well as making sure all the on-going maintenance is kept up to allow the shire to be a place in which we are proud to live.
I would like to thank the council, in particular Cr Brett Owen, for prompt attention and response to the problem of an unsealed, pot-holed and dangerous section of Kennedy Road in Pakenham, leading into Ash Crescent. Work is to be started this month.
After inspecting this section of road, Cr Owen discovered that there was no footpath at the Don Jackson Reserve section of Ahern Road.
I again thank all concerned, as the path has been completed and its appearance fits in well with the reserve.
Now all the residents can use the path and don’t have to walk on the road.
Faye Casey,
Pakenham.
