RSL to hold dawn service

NAR Nar Goon Returned and Services League will hold a dawn Anzac Day service this year.
The decision was made at the recent annual general meeting.
The sub branch had a successful turn out of 12 members plus two new affiliate members to the meeting held on Monday 19 February at the soldiers’ memorial community centre.
The decision to hold a dawn service was based on the good turn out last year.
President Max Murray spoke on the happenings of 2006 including the new paving and flagpole at the town cenotaph, the Anzac Day Dawn Service and remembrance day service, badge and poppy sales and the growth of the branch with new affiliate members.
Vice president Harry James declared all positions vacant for the election of office bearer for 2007. He handed over the vice presidency to Jason Campbell.
Those elected were: president Max Murray, vice president Jason Campbell, secretary Keith Staindl, treasurer Diana Ferrari, welfare officer Sharonlee Murray and appeals officer Jenny Paull.
