TOORADIN sides had the best of close seniorgrade battles with Berwick at the weekend.

A GRADE

In what was a well fought out match Tooradin started behind and was chasing for the first half. With great drives and feeding from Sara Drain at centre and superb movement in the goal ring from Kate Lynch and Keren Van Der Heyden, Tooradin managed to overtake Berwick to come away with a victory.
Scores: Tooradin 43 d Berwick 35.

B GRADE

Tooradin and Berwick put on a close game for the first half in nearperfect conditions.
Tooradin’s defence of Stacey McLeod and Carly Booth put in an outstanding performance to create many turnovers.
Jodie Sorati showed great drive through the midcourt and fed the goalers brilliantly. In the second half Tooradin broke away from Berwick to take a 13goal victory.

C GRADE

Tooradin took a convincing win over Berwick.
Scores: Tooradin 39 d Berwick 27.
Best: Andrew Craven Concreting Annalise Van Rooye, LMG Rural Fencing Coach’s Fran Pecora, most damaging Fran Pecora.

17 AND UNDER

Tooradin started strongly against Berwick and held an 11goal lead at quartertime. Tooradin’s game lost momentum in the second quarter and Berwick showed better form.
But the attacking combination of Holly Booth, Sarah Kernot and Danni Ayres stepped up again, proving to be formidable against all defenders so far this season.
Megan Ellet and Emily Van Rooye created many valuable turnovers to ensure another convincing win.

15 AND UNDER

Tooradin played a great game against Berwick.
With Kellie North and Missy Attwood in goals and Melanie Mantel and Tarah Martin holding up the defence Tooradin was able to secure a good lead.
After changes in the goal ring in the second quarter Tooradin maintained the lead, proving the versatility of the team. Vicky Wilson again starred at wing defence.
Scores: Tooradin 22 d Berwick 15.
Best: Tooradin Foodworks Tarah Martin.

13 AND UNDER

Tooradin’s young team played a much stronger Berwick.
Kellie North and Laura Yue worked hard in defence and intercepted many passes. Gabby Wilson and Lauren Genoni produced fine midcourt play.
Bronte Evans and Elle Brooke moved well in goals, showing determination against a strong defence. Sara Tanner was superb at centre with great driving.
Scores: Berwick 37 d Tooradin 3.
