Two wins lift Cobras

CORA Lynn had two wins over NeerimNeerim South plus a draw from last week’s matches.

A GRADE

Cora Lynn and NeerimNeerim South played a tight first quarter, coming out even at the first break. In the second quarter the Cobras began to lift and played as a team to take the lead. The second half was a brilliant effort from Cora Lynn, with lots of encouragement, fine play and great teamwork.

B GRADE

Cora Lynn after its past few weeks went in confidently and, although being down at every break, all players worked hard. The last quarter was Cora Lynn’s best.

C GRADE

Cora Lynn began nervously and was down by four goals at quartertime. Accurate goaling and great whole court pressure created many opportunities so that we were 2 goals up at threequarter time. Some errant passes put the team under pressure in the last quarter but excellent teamwork meant we were able to come away with a draw.

D GRADE

The under 17s worked the ball through the court well but struggled to get it to the goalers. The defenders worked hard all game but Cora Lynn couldn’t come away with a better result.

E GRADE

The Cobras finally made it through to win in a fine game by all who played. Cora Lynn started well and chased all loose balls. The goalers combined well.

F GRADE

On Saturday NeerimNeerim South travelled to Cora Lynn. Cora Lynn came out strongly and gave its best all game. Changes meant the players were in positions they were not familiar with and to their credit they did a superb job.
