DAYLIGHT saving means that Wilson Botanic Park, Berwick, is open from 7am to 8pm seven days a week.
The park is a beautiful place to be year round.
Free barbecues are available and there is a picnic shelter opposite the children’s playground.
More than three kilometres of walking trails meander amid native and exotic gardens and the lookout tower has spectacular views of Casey and Port Phillip. Other park facilities include a bird hide, event amphitheatre, rose garden and lakeside picnic lawn.
Visitors are welcome to bring their dogs for a walk provided they stay on leads.
Summer events include movies in the park on Saturday, 13 January, jazz and swing by the lake on Saturday, 3 February and a Valentine’s Day picnic on Wednesday, 14 February.
