Young people have been invited to be part of a public artwork steering committee.
They will be asked to make recommendations on the development of an appropriate piece of public artwork to recognise the contributions of young people to the City of Casey.
Representatives aged 10 to 25 are invited to attend a meeting from 5.307pm on Thursday 1 September at the Civic Centre.
Guidelines for the committee will be explained at the meeting.
Casey manager youth and community development Janette Green said younger people’s significant contribution to the Casey community deserved recognition.
“The steering committee is a wonderful opportunity for young people to decide on an appropriate visual installation to recognise the value of our younger residents,” she said.
The steering committee will meet weekly to discuss an appropriate art piece and the final recommendations will be presented to the council.
