Vandalism meeting

PAKENHAM adult learning centre Living and Learning in Cardinia’s administration committee will meet today to discuss the problem of vandalism after a number of recent incidents at the centre.
Last week six windows were broken at LLINC and the previous week a large number of Easter eggs were stolen from a locked glass cabinet while the centre was open.
The chocolates were to be used for an Easter raffle to raise funds for maintenance and works at the centre.
The discussion will also centre on the location of the Pakenham Skate Park which is situated in the PB Ronald Reserve at the front of the centre.
LLINC manager Judith Brown and office manager Bronwyn Fleming were concerned the location of the skate park attracted some troublemakers outside the centre.
“We don’t want to shut down because we can’t trust who is coming in and out,” Ms Fleming said.
Across the PB Ronald Reserve, a CFA storehouse containing fire brigade running equipment and memorabilia caught fire last week.
The fires were believed to have been deliberately lit.
