$50,000 boost for Windana

BUILDING works and improvements at Windana Therapeutic Community at Nar Nar Goon have won a $50,000 boost.
McMillan MP Russell Broadbent announced the Federal Government grant last week.
Windana is a residential, drug free rehabilitation program providing a place for residents to develop changes to previous patterns of risk taking behaviour.
Mr Broadbent said the funds would help Windana residents, current and future, by providing improved facilities and an environment that will complement the suite of treatment programs on offer.
Mr Broadbent made the announcement while opening a new Art Therapy facility at Windana.
Program coordinator Antigone Quince said she was “delighted” with the $50,000 grant.
She said improving the facilities would be a boost the residents and staff at Windana and assist the program to addresses selfhelp, selfresponsibility and independent reintegration into the wider community.
