BERWICK’S proposed technical school will be established on the Chisholm Institute campus at Clyde Road.
Gembrook MP Tammy Lobato last week led universal approval of the State Government’s plan to place one of four secondary technical schools at Berwick.
Premier Steve Bracks announced the return to technical secondary education last week.
He said the Government would provide $241 million as part of the Maintaining the Advantage: Skilled Victorians package.
Ms Lobato said up to $8 million of this would be spent on the Berwick school.
Berwick Village Chamber of Commerce, the City of Casey, and Chisholm Institute have applauded the plan.
