THE Berwick Senior Citizens Club annual general meeting on Friday passed without incident.
Members were pleased to welcome the club’s solicitor Damien Conway.
He had little enough to do, but we did enjoy his Irish accent.
The board for the coming year reads – president Isabella Price; vice-president Wilma James; secretary Erica Albert; treasurer Verna Thewlis and committee members Lorna Bird, Stan Clayton, Lucy Dickinson, Vera Giles and Ian Wollerman.
At the ordinary meeting held before the AGM, greetings were extended to Lyn and Barry Rattles as visitors, and a welcome was extended to a new member Josephine Hauroro.
The door prizes went to Ian Wollerman and Wilma Clark, while the meat tray was won by Jackie Vallilla and the voucher went to the Murphy syndicate.
With the close the AGM we enjoyed bingo, with prizes going to Vera Giles, Ailsa Sweet (twice), Elsie Smith, Norah Todd, Mary Sparkes, Barbara Cunningham, Wilma Clark (also twice) and Beryl Newman.
