Flu hits seniors

BERWICK Senior Citizens meeting on the 31st was not a good day for our new president, because she was confined to bed with a bad dose of the flu. Get well soon, Isabella.
Our meeting proceeded with vice-president Wilma James presiding.
Besides our president being sick, it was reported that Monica Miller was in hospital.
The door prizes went to Aileen Sweet and Ella Matheson.
The meat tray was won by Wilma Clark, and the voucher went to Ron Giles, who also shared the raffle prizes with Mary Barford.
The meeting then concluded with bingo, David Clark being the caller, and the prizes went to: Jack Smith, Diane Kimmit, Lucy Dickinson, Elizabeth Sturgeon (twice), Elizabeth Jaeger-Glover, Jackie Villalla, June Murphy, Hilda Boening, Verna Thewlis and Barbara Cunningham.
Inquiries to president Isabella Price on 9707 5936.
