KOOWEERUP Secondary College proved that a way to a student’s heart is through the stomach.
About 700 kids feasted on a banquet of food during the school’s third annual breakfast.
Canteen organiser Heather McMillan organised the breakfast, with the help of Annie Lost, and it was cooked by volunteers including local police.“It started as an awareness event to highlight the importance of eating breakfast,” teacher Maree Evans said.
“Now, the kids look forward to it. It’s great for relationship building. They sit around with the teachers and have a chat, and get to know the local police. It’s a very successful event.”
