AFTER success in its first year last year, the Pakenham Football Club Guineas Race Day will return to the Pakenham racecourse this Saturday.
The race meeting will cater for racing enthusiasts and families alike with entertainment including six live broadcasts on the big screen of the “group” races from Caulfield and go kart rides for the little ones.
This day has been popular with sporting clubs celebrating their end of season in the past. A feature of the day will be a netball shoot-off and handball competition that will give people the opportunity to win $500 in prizes for their sporting club.
Big Al will provide live music entertainment on the lawns.
Admission prices have been reduced to make it an affordable day for everyone. Cost per adult is $8, concession is $6 and entry for under-17s is free when accompanied by an adult.
Gates will open at 10.30am, with racing to kick off at 12.30pm.
The farmers’ market will run as usual from 8am to noon.
