BUNNINGS Pakenham will open its doors to the public on Friday 30 October.
More than 120 locals have been employed to work at the warehouse, including qualified plumbers, electricians, carpenters, landscapers, painters, tilers and horticulturalists who will be on hand to offer DIY advice.
The $18 million retail development, on the Princes Highway opposite Pakenham’s Lakeside estate, is expected to inject more than $2.5 million into the local economy. The warehouse will cover close to 12,000 square metres and stock a wide range of hardware, garden and home improvement products.
The development includes a kids’ playground, cafe and parking for 365 cars.
