THE world’s largest pair of underpants will be raised during an event which aims to increase awareness about men’s health issues.
The South Coast Primary Care Partnership Drought Project will present ‘When the Cowpat hits the Windmill’ on 29 October, an event for rural men and their families to create greater awareness about depression, prostate cancer and relationships.
It’s an opportunity for men and their partners to be involved in an entertaining and informative night with a free services expo and great door prizes.
Guest speakers include farmer and former VFL footballer John Schultz from beyondblue, Jo Fairbairn from the Prostate Cancer Foundation and men’s health consultant from Betterment Rob Koch.
A General Practitioner from the RACGP’s M5 project will also speak. The M5 Project is a bold new movement that will use the number five to break down the barriers that prevent Australian men from going to a GP, ultimately saving men’s lives.
One of the highlights on the night will involve the audience in “Raising the World’s largest pair of Underpants” in an effort to bring a greater awareness to prostate cancer.
The event will be held on Thursday 29 October, from 6pm to 9.30pm at the Kooweerup Community Centre, Rossiter Road, Kooweerup.
The event is open for all to attend. Inquiries, call Rick on 5997 9679 or Liz on 5674 0900.
