Snakes alive!

GET up close and personal with reptiles at Go Country on Saturday, 17 and Sunday, 18 October from 10am at the Pakenham Racecourse.
The Snakebusters team will be one of the many highlights of this exciting community event, displaying the deadliest snakes on earth including the taipan, tiger, brown and death adder.
Snakebusters are unique handlers because these snakes, usually highly venomous and dangerous, have been ‘venomoid’, meaning their venom glands have been surgically removed rendering the snakes virtually harmless.
The Snakebusters display will also feature giant pythons, crocodiles and other reptiles that the public can look at, touch and learn more about.
But if cold-blooded animals are not your thing, there will also be an animal petting zoo for the kids, or watch in amazement as Travis Scott demonstrates the incredible skills of the humble working dogs as they herd sheep.
Regular milking demonstrations, courtesy of Caldermeade Farm, will provide a fresh insight into where milk really comes from, along with shearing demonstrations throughout the day.
