Adams is top scorer

TOORADIN lost to Nar Nar Goon in the first one-day game.
Tooradin lost the toss and was sent in to bat. It started with an opening partnership of 29 before Callum O’Hare was dismissed for 15.
It lost Matt Walker on the same score and when Jay Wilson and Daniel Hunt were dismissed the score was 4/34 from 22 overs.
Skipper Brenton Adams and Sean Baker had a 27-run partnership but from 5/61 Tooradin was dismissed for 95 in the 44th over.
Skipper Brenton Adams top-scored and was last batsman out for 38.
Tooradin started well and had Nar Nar Goon 3/29 in the 10th over. When Ash Adams dismissed Noel O’Brien the Goon was 4/38. Nar Nar Goon then had a solid 49-run partnership to set up victory.
It passed Tooradin’s score in the 39th over with five wickets down.
Ash Adams 2/28 (nine overs), Rory Alder 1/10 (six) and Aaron Brooks 1/18 were the other wicket takers with Sean Baker having a run out.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:SUB DISTRICT

Tooradin beat Gembrook by 175 runs on the first innings.
Gembrook won the toss and batted and had a reasonable start to be 3/41 before it collapsed to be all out for 55.
Ben Mantel swung the ball around and took 3/21 while Michael Ralph 4/15 (eight overs) and Leigh Fankhauser (3/4) cleaned up the tail.
Tooradin also lost early wickets to be 3/42 before new player Leigh Fankhauser joined Ben Mantel for a 50-run partnership before Leigh was well caught for 24.
Michael Ralph joined Mantel for a 61-run partnership before Ralph was dismissed for 23.
Mantel went on to top-score with 60 on a slow ground.
A useful partnership between Dene North (35 n.o.) and Grant Kernot (28 n.o.) took the score to 6/230 from 45 overs.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:C GRADE

Tooradin won the toss against Pakenham Upper-Toomuc at Rutter Park and batted.
Its 106 off 39 overs saw Robert Eakins top-scored with 26 and next best were Peter Stone (15) and Brett Murray (12).
Tooradin started well when it dismissed one opener and the score was 1/5. PUT then had a 35-run partnership before Daniel Quinn dismissed the next batsman for Tooradin to be 2/40 from 13.
Tooradin continued to bowl tightly and from 3/75 PUT slumped to 7/87 in the 35th.
Peter O’Hare bowled tightly for 1/15 but Daniel Quinn was outstanding with 2/6 from eight overs (four maidens).
PUT moved to 8/104 in the 39th over and passed Tooradin’s score with four balls to spare. Dale Bethune (2/27) and Darren Mantel (2/27) also bowled well in the losing side.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:E GRADE

The game between Merinda Park and Tooradin was called off because of the condition of the ground. A draw was declared.

Tooradin travelled to Kooweerup, won the toss and batted in wet conditions that should have suited the batsmen.
But it failed to capitalise on the conditions and soon had lost 3/11 from seven overs.
Co-captains Mitchell Dawkins and Nic Simpson had a 33-run partnership before Nic was dismissed for 13. Mitch went on to make 21.
A couple of run-outs did not help and Tooradin was all out for 63 in the 30th.
Kooweerup ended up on 0/7 off seven.
