Look Twice

DESPITE the rather cold and showery weather, there was an excellent muster of members at the Berwick Seniors meeting on 16 October. President Isabella Price, who is in England for some weeks, principally to see her latest grandson, sent a greeting card to the members, describing the baby as “lovely, just lovely”.
She is homesick for the friends she has made at Berwick Seniors, however, and the members look forward to her return on 13 November.
There was quite a roll of sick members announced. They are Gladys Obeth, Nora Todd, Anne Burrows, Win Robinson and Juliette Carrick. They received best wishes for a speedy recovery. Welcomed back were Adrienne Griffen and Beryl Newman.
At the meeting, the door prizes went to Jackie Villella and Ella Matheson. The meat tray was won by Norma Fournier, the voucher went to Dianne Kimmit and the raffle prizes were won by Isobel Jaeger-Glover and Ron Giles. After the meeting, the members were entertained by Look Twice, a talented husband and wife team.
Their songs from the late Judy Garland’s repertoire proved to be a fascinating glimpse at her amazing talent.
