STUDENTS at Maranatha Christian School, Officer, have access to a new integrated building after it was officially opened last month.
The building consists of a general learning area, teacher preparation area, science room, science preparation area and chemical storage and student cloakrooms.
Those who attended the opening included some of the school’s pioneers, members of the board of directors, visiting principals from independent schools, staff, parents and students.
Principal Vernon Clark thanked Mark Gould and John Kruize, members of the board, Robert Sanderson, business manager, Warren Van Damme, architect, and Robert Verdouw, building contractor, for the vital roles they played in the project.
He also thanked the head of the Cardinia campus David Gleeson and his staff and students for their presentations and hard work.
The building was made possible through a $225,000 contribution from the Federal Government through the capital grants program.
