NESTLE Pakenham is no longer.
Workers were told yesterday the international food giant was walking away from the Bald Hill Road site, which would now be known as Gourmet Foods.
The Nestle plant has been in Pakenham since 1960, and is one of the town’s major employers.
Some employees have been there for over 25 years.
The change over is expected to take place on 31 November.
At the time of print union bosses were meeting with powerbrokers to discuss further details.
